I got born again in Jan 1999 at Christ Embassy Benin, Benin City Nigeria during the first Sunday service of the year. Rev.
Tom Amenkhienan shared on the beautiful life in Christ. His face was aglow as he talked about this life which got me intrigued.
After the message, he made the altar call and I was too glad to answer the call. I just knew I had to get born again to enjoy the beautiful life Rev talked about.
My parents were not pleased that I left the family church (Church of God Mission) for Christ Embassy, who they thought to be unserious Christians. It was not an easy walk for me but I stuck to my guns.
After several fights, I was reluctantly allowed to attend services but with a caveat “I was responsible for my transport fare and offerings”. This did not deter me rather it strengthened me.
I joyfully trekked to church and back when there was no money. Recently, I was talking with my youngest Sister and somehow we talked about her salvation and she told me something very remarkable “She said Sis; your prayers brought me to Christ.
I remember when you would pray for us, mentioning our names in your prayers. She said they will listen in their room or other times laughed because to them, they were alright.
But now, she said, I am born again. We are all products of your prayers.
This brought tears to my eyes as I had forgotten those years that I prayed for them. To God be the glory, my family are all born again Christians.
I am a proud Ambassador of the BLW Nation, not just in my family but in my world as well. Indeed it has been a beautiful life in Christ as Rev Tom promised that Sunday morning in January 1999.
